Many people say that the hardest step is actually just getting out the door and showing up. For me that was in December 2017, the day my running journey with the Kimberworth Striders began, and I’m so pleased that I took that step.

Prior to this I had only run infrequently and never with a running club. Who would have thought that from those first tentative steps I would now be a UKA qualified Run Leader, where I can help and encourage others on their own running journey.

Running for me has brought so many benefits; social, physical and mental. Long may it continue.
