Each year, alongside the Club Champs awards and the Parkrun Tourist Trophies, the club makes two awards to members:

'The President’s Cup'

&

'Sports Person Of The Year'

Named in honour of our president, Patrick Rooney, the President’s Cup is awarded by the committee to the member who, in their view, has shown the greatest progress, performance, or representation of the club over the past year.

The Sportsperson of the Year is decided by you—the club members. While the final choice is yours, members are encouraged to consider factors such as performance, commitment, improvement, sportsmanship, and contribution to club life when casting their vote.

Both awards are traditionally presented at the club’s Presentation Night in May, where voting for the Sportsperson of the Year also takes place.
