Kane Green
COMMITTEE MEMBER
I am honoured to take the committee seat of my Dad Richard Green who was one of the founder members of the club, he is still involved casually in the club, but you’ll more than likely find him enjoying a good bike ride. He first got me into running doing fun runs, I then took running very serious as a junior track and cross-country athlete with a claim to fame of being the South Yorkshire 800m champion heavily training with Rotherham Harriers for my 5 years at Old Hall School.
I fully joined the club around 25 years ago of which I am proud to be a member of our friendly club, where I more recently enjoy the social (Few pints after a run) and steadier life of running. My racing career maybe over or maybe put on hold while I juggle busy times having two girls and business interests.
From my years of athletics and competitive cross country running, I have gained a vast amount of knowledge in training regimes, injuries and other running needs. I will not hesitate to support fellow runners, providing advice to help them improve and further enjoy running and athletics.
