The Kimmy Killer race was planned to be a one off event back in February 2012 but it's now been held on four occasions, suspiciously in sync with Olympic years. The 10K (6.21 mile) route is a mixture of road and trail, starting and finishing alongside Winterhill School on Little Common Lane, Kimberworth. It consists of 3 lapped climbs up the infamous West Hill in Kimberworth - circa 1,000 feet of climb in total - meaning it certainly isn't a PB course!

As of 2024, we have four runners who have completed all four races held - Kevin Doyle, Steve Lowndes, Pat Rooney, Jo Rooney and Dan Birkinshaw. Rumour has it that the next race is only scheduled once Pat has recovered......

Course Records, both set in 2012 are

Men - Kevin Doyle - 39:30

Women - Jo Rooney - 48:11

All proceeds from the race go to that years chosen charity.

For 2024, it was Dementia Concern and we are delighted to say a total of £1,123.55 was raised for this wonderful cause.

An outline of the course profile is shown below:

*2016 also included a 5K race requiring only 1 climb of West Hill!

*2024 had to be re-routed straight down and back up West Hill (x3!) due to a police incident. This resulted in the course being just over 5 miles in length on that occasion.
